How Does the System Work?
Discover how the Voltrun charging ecosystem works, who is involved, and the advantages of centralized network management.
Voltrun Charging Ecosystem
Voltrun is an "Electric Vehicle Charging Station Network" brand. The purpose of the Voltrun network is to create a charging ecosystem for electric vehicles, providing fast and reliable charging infrastructure for EV owners as well as additional value-added services.

Voltrun Portal
By combining our software applications with our station network management system, we enable station owners to monitor their stations from anywhere with an internet connection, access usage reports, and collect station fees.

Access Control
Access policies can be defined for different stations. Additionally, access lists can be created, managed, and updated.
Tariff Flexibility
The cloud-based system provides businesses with the flexibility to determine the usage fees for their charging stations. Station operators can effortlessly access the reports they need and quickly receive payments through the system.
Reporting
Charging fees, charging durations, and electricity consumption can be reported in detail through graphs and tables for all stations.
Software Update
Charging station software can be updated remotely.
Ecosystem Actors
Centralized Network Management
All Voltrun stations are manufactured in compliance with the "Internet of Things" principles and can be managed centrally via the internet.
- Stations are remotely monitored to ensure they are operating properly.
- Software updates for stations are performed automatically due to evolving technology and changing standards.
- Users can be assisted remotely when they encounter problems.
- Users or operators can monitor the charging process via Voltrun Portal or mobile applications.
- Charging history, invoice viewing, reservations, and charging schedule settings can be managed through Voltrun Portal.
- Members can benefit from campaigns at specific stations.

Charging Stations
Stations in the Voltrun network are divided into two categories:
Voltrun Personal
Stations for personal use, installed by individuals solely for their own vehicle charging needs. No identity verification or fee tracking is required. They can operate without being connected to the network, depending on the station owner's preference.
Voltrun Commercial
Stations for shared/commercial use, installed by legal entities (building management, commercial companies, public institutions, etc.) to either generate revenue or track who uses how much charging at shared locations. Identification and fee tracking are mandatory, and they always operate connected to the network.

Station Owners / Operators
These are the individuals who purchase the stations and provide locations for installation.
Voltrun Personal station owners use the stations they purchased for personal use to charge their own vehicles. They can monitor their transactions and control charging operations through Voltrun Portal.
Voltrun Commercial station owners are referred to as "station operators." Station operators can track charging transactions at their stations and generate revenue from these transactions.

Electric Vehicle Owners
EV owners can charge their vehicles at Voltrun stations. No fees are charged at Personal stations; the station owner pays their regular electricity bill. Charging at Commercial stations is paid.
It is possible to charge at Commercial stations with a smartphone and credit card without being a Voltrun member. However, members are offered more advantageous prices.

Electricity Provider
Station owners are responsible for the electricity supplied to the stations. They pay their contracted electricity provider for the electricity consumed during charging sessions. This is typically included in the electricity bill of the building where the stations are installed, and no separate subscription is required.
